Dear Metin,

As you know, POWER UP's mission is to promote the visibility and integration of gay women in entertainment, the arts, and all forms of media... Our members are women and men, gay and straight, who share a singular purpose -- to promote diversity by supporting our mission...

POWER UP is exceeding our goals through the film grant program... For the fourth year POWER UP has had a film made through the film grant program as an Official Selection of the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.

It's with your generosity and support that we exist. Being an organization made up of all volunteers, each dollar received goes directly to programs and services.

Thank you again for your contributions in 2004 and I hope you are able to to continue your pledge of support in the New Year.

Dear Metin,

"Arabian Nights on Star Island" was quite an exotic and entertaining evening... It was, without a doubt, one of Best Bussies' most memorable events. Not only it was a magical night, it was also a huge success, raising well over $600,000 for Best Buddies.

Best Buddies is truly grateful to you for effort in making this event an extraordinary success. We would like to thank you for your generous donation of amazing artworks. They contributed greatly to our auction and helped us raise funds for programs all over the country...

Dearest Metin,

Children's Hospital is fortunate to have talented individuals who care about the healthcare of children. You are such an individual. Thank you so much for your recent art contribution to Children's Hospital.

Your work is spectacular and will be an incredible addition to our clinic area and our teenage activity room. Your pieces are also going to be featured in our annual Gala, which raises money for a specific program at Children's Hospital each year. This year the Gala raised more than $143,000 for the Pulmonary Division.

Children's Hospital serves children from every county in Alabama and a few surrounding counties. Each year, Children's Hospital provides pediatric services during over 13,000 inpatient visits and over 600,000 outpatient visits. The hospital provides advanced pediatric services in fields that range from cancer to cystic fibrosis to traumatic brain injuries.

Metin, I have truly enjoyed working with you. Your spirit is absolutely amazing, and your desire to help is evident. It is a rare and wonderful opportunity to be connected with someone across the country who has passion for helping children in Alabama.

I am a truly better person for knowing you and I believe that Children's Hospital is fortunate to have your artwork in our facility.

Thank you so much for your donation. Please contact me if I can be assistance to you.

Respectfully,
